Summer Fruits
Since it's always summer here on the Rock, it is not something extraordinarily special (unless you're a student). Except, that it brings the widest variety of fruits at their cheapest: jackfruit, pineapples, melons and of course, mangoes! But of all the melons I have seen in my lifetime, I had never before come across this; and due to crowd fascination, I could only get one pound to try out, not the chance to ask the local name.

Wow I have never seen this fruit before! Its like a yellow watermelon! I must find one!!
ReplyDeleteI love the summer fruits. Cherries, melons and pineapples really are what make summer fabulous!
And the "Oui" ring on my header is by Dior. It is my dream ring I would buy myself if I could afford it (it is something like $800 USD) I am trying to find a (much) cheaper version of it!! xx
Believe me, the yellow watermelon was equally surprising to myself and the crowds. But when I tasted it, it tasted just like red watermelons. The fascination is only the colour.
ReplyDeleteWooow,USD$800 is a lot for a ring, yikes! Do let me know if you find a cheaper version. Thanks, Belle.
i wonder if its a genetically modified version of a watermelon. if its grown naturally thats truly something, i've never seen that before. i'm trying to grow watermelons in my backyard. So far i've gotten pumpkin, but no watermelon yet.
ReplyDeleteI have been trying to find that vendor to have him tell me - really what happened with those watermelons. Will give an update ASAP.
